The Phoenix swim teams hit the coast for the weekend, taking part in a pair of meets in the Coos Bay-North Bend area.

Saturday at North Bend, the girls finished fourth and the boys fifth. Nate Wood's third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.63) and a third by the 400 relay tam of Tyler Clark, Derrick Graham, Elwood Hosking and Wood (4:18.50) highlighted the day, which also included a fourth by Hosking in the 200 free (2:23.84) and a fourth by Ford Foggleman in the 100 butterlfy (1:15.76).

Friday at Marshfield, PHS got top-five finishes from Rose Moser (100 free), Heidi Tayler (200 free and 100 back), Sophia Stubblefield (200 free, 100 breast), Pearl Ward (50 free), Claire Mathewson (100 back), Jackson Fries (50 free), Hosking (200 free, 100 free), Graham (200 free, 100 free), Zyan Shull-Bain (50 free, 100 back), Foggleman (100 fly, 500 free) and Wood (100 free, 100 breast).

The Pirates return to action on Saturday at the Henley Freeze in Klamath Falls.
