Phoenix's Nate Wood brought his season to an impressive conclusion on Friday night.
While he didn't quite make the state finals on Saturday, the Pirate junior posted a time of 1:09.98 to earn an eighth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke at the OSAA Swimming Championships in Beaverton.
Wood was seeded eighth in the event and missed a spot in the finals by just over one second.
