The Phoenix High School swimming teams had another solid meet on Saturday, finishing eighth (boys) and 10th (girls) at the Southern Oregon Invitational in Grants Pass.
The Pirates had
top 10 showings from Heidi Taylor in the 200 Free and 100 Free, Sophie Stubblefield in the 200 Free, Zyan Shull-Bain in the 50 Free, Makaio Potts in the 100 Fly, Emily Montoya in the 500 Free, and Laurelin Jansen in the 100 Back.
A couple of standout relay performances today were the boys top 5 showing in the 400 Free Relay (Zyan, Makaio, Elwood Hosking and Sean Donohue) while the Girls 200 Free relay (Heidi, Sophie, Laurelin, and Rose Moser) is on the verge of breaking the elusive two-minute barrier!
The Pirates return to action Friday when they travel to Coos Bay.
