Despite being a bit short on swimmers, Phoenix put together some impressive results on Saturday at the All-Skyline Meet in Grants Pass.
With only 11 swimmers taking part due to illness, the Pirates finished second as a team in the girls' portion of the meet and fifth among boys' teams.
Heidi Taylor finished second in both the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly to set the pace for the girls. Emily Montoya added a third in the 500 freestyle and 5th in the 200 freestyle, Sophia Stubblefield 4th in both the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and Laurelin Jensen 5th in the 100 backstroke.
Elwood Hosking finished 2nd in the 200 backstroke and third in the 200 freestyle while Zyan Shull-Bain was fifth in the 50 freestyle.
The Pirates continue their season on Saturday with a meet at the Medford YMCA.
