Senior Patrick Calhoun was a second-place finisher at 182 pounds. Despite giving up at least 15 pounds, Calhoun pinned his first two opponents before falling in the title match. Sophomore Marcelo Camargo finished second at 170 pounds, scoring pins in his first two matches before being pinned in the championship.
Other PHS qualifiers include sophomore Hunter Everhart (third at 160 pounds) and senior Jonathan Bennett (fourth at 285).
As a team, the Pirates finished fifth in the eight-team event.
The 4A State Wrestling Tournament will be held at Cascade High School near Salem on June 25-26.
Meanwhile, Prinslow will represent PHS in the Girls' State Tournament in Cottage Grove on June 24. She won her first three matches by pin before falling in the title bout to Shayla McNulty of Eagle Point.
