Another meet close to home proved successful for the Phoenix cross country teams.
The PHS girls finished fourth at the annual State of Jefferson Meet at Lithia Park in Ashland. The Pirates totalled 75 points as a team, two behind third-place North Medford.
Sophia Stubblefield finished fifth (21:08) and Lupita Alegria sixth (21:11) to lead the Pirates.
For the boys, Noah Marshall led the way, placing 15th in 17:55.
Phoenix returns to action Saturday at the Harrier Classic in Albany.
