Pirates compete in Harrier Classic

The Phoenix cross country teams continued preparations for the post-season with a strong effort at the Harrier Classic in Albany on Saturday.
Noah Marshall led the PHS boys and was among the top finishers from smaller schools in the event. Marshall ran the course in 16:42.54, placing 23rd among the 253 varsity finishers. As a team, Phoenix finished 30th.
Sophia Stubblefield (44th in 20:33.09) and Lupita Alegria (47th in 20:35.06) paced the Pirate girls, who finished 20th as a team.
The Pirates return to action Wednesday when they will take part in the Max King Invite at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point.
