Pirate XC primed for pre-district

The preliminaries are complete for the Phoenix cross country teams.
The Pirates look to the Skyline Conference meet and potentially a trip to the OSAA State Meet after completing a solid regular season.
PHS took part in the Country Fair Classic in Venetta on Wednesday. Top finishers for the boys included Noah Marshall (35th in 17:28), Yovanni Bazan-Chavez (75th in 18:20) and Dilan Mathieu (95th in 18:44). Lupita Alegria led the girls to a sixth-place team finish, placing 10th in 20:02. Sophia Stubblefield was 24th in 20:50, Shelby Platt (53rd in 22:41) and Heidi Taylor 60th in 23:01.
The Pirates return to action on October 24 when they will run at the Skyline meet at Steens Park in Klamath Falls.
